We all feel. From joy to sorrow, we all experience a range
of emotion in our lives. Often, when we laugh, when we are happy, it is a moment to be shared. It’s natural, normal
to show and to share our joy, our high times with other people. Like the song says: ‘If
you’re happy and you know it and you really want to show, it if you’re happy and you know it clap your hands’.
However, the same isn’t so true with the darkness. We often keep that to ourselves.
It has no outlet, it builds, we bottle it. We try to hide it, numb it, cover it up. This just makes dark feelings all the
more potent whilst they eat away at us.
But what if you shared your sorrow too? In sharing, let it
out. In doing so, you’d find that other people from time to time feel similar sad things. You’d find reassurance
that you’re not alone. Which then, in it’s way, makes it a little bit more.. ok…
As
people have said: ‘You paint what I feel’.
In amongst works inspired by nature and dreams, here is my dialogue of dark emotion,
expressed in what feels for me, a more natural language. I hope you can relate to some of what you see....
